Pit Pints

Waylon dumped out some water that had gathered in a bowl after the rain and ran through it yelling, "Pit pints, pit pints!"  He had made a nice display of foot prints. This was taken the same day as the pictures in my last blog entry, so his clothes are the same.  I am such a cheater!

And here is a picture of a pretty flower that grew after the rain, just because.

Funny Faces

With all the rain in the past two weeks it was nice to just sit outside yesterday and soak in the sun! Waylon was kind enough to share his funny faces with me, so I could take some pictures.

How's that for a picture overload?  I just couldn't narrow them down.

I like to move it, move it.

Waylon has a new favorite song.  We listen to it in the car, in the movie, and, yes, we sing it too....

And just in case you couldn't decipher the song from his performance, I present for your listening pleasure....

*Warning - It will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day*

I warned you.

We all scream for ice cream.

Waylon has really been enjoying my pregnancy cravings and I am happy to have a partner in crime.

Growing and growing.

In the doorway of the kitchen at my parent's house you will notice multiple pencil marks notched up the side of the wall with letters and dates next to them.  At the very top, you see K - 6'3'', my brother's last recorded height and where he remains today at 22.  A little lower you see the peak of my height, 5'6''.  Now, making their way up the wall at an amazing speed, are Waylon's growth marks.  I'm honored that he is continuing the tradition and I think Grandpa is happy too.  My parents can never move, not without the wall.

And while we're on the subject of growing.  Here I am at just about 17 weeks.  Waylon is serenading us with his fabulous harmonica talents.

Don't say that, plate.

After eating almost all of his vegetables tonight, Waylon was rewarded with a small piece of angel food cake.  Once his cake was finished he sat for a minute and looked at his plate before engaging in a lively conversation with the peaceful looking duck pictured on the plate.  Most of it was in a language that not even mommy powers can translate, but after some time he picked up his plate and scorned, "Don't say that, plate!  That is a bad word!"  He quickly got out of his chair and handed me the foul tongued dish ware.  "You need to wash this.  Right now, mom!" he warned with such urgency I didn't think to ask for a "please" or "thank you."  I may never know what offensive word the plate had said, but I hope that it is learning it's lesson as it soaks in the dishwasher.

My efforts are futile.

I finally get my blog going, and I'm finally excited about posting my pictures, and what happens?  I leave my camera at Ally's house during our play date.  Oh well.  It just gives me an excuse for another play date in the near future.  Plus Joey has the best train set ever and Waylon will be more than willing to hang out with Joey and his awesome trains again soon.

Luckily I have some pictures on reserve.  We attended Todd's cousin's son's 3rd birthday party over the weekend.  Uncle Mike was shaking the balloons in the kids faces which the kids found to be hilarious and certainly the best part of the day.  Next time I go to a child's birthday party I am just going to bring a balloon to shake in their face in lieu of a present.  I am kidding.....sort of. Look at the smiles on these faces!
